Objective
Close the distance on Widowmaker without getting picked off.
Overwhelm her with burst damage and mobility before she can disengage.
Secure the elimination even if Widow tries to run or grapple away.
Step-by-Step Execution
1. Take Cover and Approach Safely
Use map cover intelligently: walls, pillars, cars, crates — anything that breaks Widowmaker's line of sight.
Keep visual angles narrow: only peek if you must gauge her location.
Crouch walk if needed to minimize audio cues while closing distance.
2. Prep with a Damage Orb
As you get within mid-range, fire a purple (damage) orb into the general direction of the Widow.
Aim the orb to bounce off nearby walls so it lingers in her sniping spot.
Force pressure: the orb either forces her to move or drains her HP.
3. Fade In Aggressively
Use Fade directly toward her through obstacles or out of her sightline.
Time Fade to pop out suddenly and cross open ground quickly.
Exit Fade aggressively near her so you're already in her face and fighting.
4. Force Widow to Turn
Widow is weak up close.
Right-click charge spray her immediately (no need to aim perfectly — Moira's right-click locks slightly).
Widow will be forced to either grapple away or die.
5. Chase the Grapple Escape
If Widow uses Grapple to escape:
Immediately Fade after her.
If you have another orb, launch another damage orb toward her landing zone.
Continue right-click beam to chase down and drain her HP.
If the orb lands well, it adds massive pressure, making it almost impossible for her to survive.
6. Secure the Kill
If Widow drops off a ledge, building, or tries to rope escape, stay relentless:
Moira’s Fade cooldown is short — follow her while throwing another orb if needed.
Drain continuously with right-click.
Widow can't out-heal your damage unless she gets a full health pack.
🧠 Pro Tips
Use Orb Bounce Smartly: Bounce orbs off walls to maximize the time they stay in Widow’s zone.
Patience in Approach: Don't rush an open field. Always close distance using cover.
Orb Before Fade: Always prep your orb before you Fade — you want Widow reacting to both you and the orb.
Position After Kill: After eliminating Widow, reposition immediately. Widow players often communicate quickly and enemy supports or DPS might come to check.
